Main Street, Copmanthorpe

The design brief for this project was to transform this attractive Victorian house into a modern feeling home, with open plan living spaces, together with internal re-configuring to make the first floor work better and add a bedroom within the loft space.

Our approach was to add a relatively modest rear extension in a traditional style. This addition, together with the opening up of the rear walls of the house creates a generous and stylish open plan space. A vaulted ceiling with rooflights lends a light and airy feeling to the Dining space.

On the upper levels, the existing bedrooms were re-planned to give three separate bedrooms at first floor level with an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom. There is a large fourth bedroom to the newly converted loft space.
